After the last post where we talked about how Pickleball is good for fitness, I have got many different questions, so I am picking one of those, which I feel is good to be answered and will help many pickleball players.
The question is, Whether the pickleball paddle weight has an effect on your arms?
Will it make them skinny or your muscle mass will increase?
There are different ways to go through this, simple or advanced, so first going by the simple, if you are skinny you should choose lightweight paddles whereas if you have some power in your arms you can choose medium or heavy weight pickleball paddles, that will be more suitable for your gameplay.
Pickleball Paddles Weight – Advance Explanation
If we go deep, then it comes to your diet, if you are skinny and using a slightly heavier paddle than what is ideal weight for you, then you will need a lots of protein in your diet, if you having it, then you will develop muscles and your strength will increase & eventually that heavy paddle will be perfectly fine for you.
Whereas if you east a lot of fast food with no or less protein in it, then using heavy paddles with skinny arms will not be good, as you arms will always be tired and there are chances of injury too as your body will be having limited protein to recover and build muscle mass to cope up the strength requirement that is important to life a heavy object as in this case is pickleball paddle.
So make sure you have good protein diet to be able to use heavy paddles or racquets for long periods of time otherwise you will stay skinny or your arms will get more skinny as your diet will give your body proper nutrition that it needs.
